A BUSY PRACTICE

Regrettably, there are approximately 130 appointments lost each month, often due to patient's failure to attend.  This equates to more than 10 full surgeries each month.

If you know you are unable to attend, please phone to cancel, as this will free up the appointment for another person to make use of.

The minor injuries unit is located at Stobhill Hospital.

 

They will only see patients over 5 years of age and is open 9am-9pm, seven days a week.

 

TREATMENTS

  • Arrange x-rays for suspected broken bones
  • Treat and apply plaster to broken bones
  • Minor back, neck, shoulder and chest injuries
  • Minor head injuries
  • Sprains of ankles, knees, wrists and elbows
  • Minor cuts/grazes as well as close and dress wounds
  • Infected wounds
  • Minor eye and ear complaints
  • Minor burns and scalds

 

They WILL NOT treat

  • chest pain
  • breathing problems
  • stomach pains
  • gynaecological problems
  • pregnancy problems
  • drug overdose
  • alcohol or drug related problems
  • mental health problems
  • severe allergic reactions
  • conditions that would normally be treated by G.P
